Quadball Sports Campaign

WHAT IS Esla Quadball Club

Esla Uganda have tried to use quadball sport to reduce on the rising number of teenage pregnancy in the country during this lockdown pandemic.

After getting to learn of the situation in different areas of Uganda, that primary and secondary school girls were getting pregnant during the Covid19 pandemic lockdown, Economic Empowerment For a Better Social Life Through Association (In Uganda) (Esla) decided to head to different communities and help those girls through quadball

Since quadball as a sport allows both girls and boys to play on the same pitch together we used this opportunity to interact with them about the dangers of engaging into un developmental issues.

Despite the challenges on getting the rightful equipment used in this sport like the hoops, broomsticks and others we have been trying to improvise with some equipment and we are currently working hard to make sure Esla quadball club create an academy for young ones.

Project Challenges

  • We lack funds to facilitate the sport
  • We lack equipment i.e. hoops, brooms, shoes etc.
  • We don’t have trained referee, and coaches
  • We don’t have standard sports facilities like quadball fields, equipment like hoops, brooms etc.
  • Poor welfare of quadball players ie medical services, transportation etc.
